A nine year LMS survivor herself, Sharon has tirelessly used her social work skills to help LMS patients directly while promoting research to find a cure. In 2005, she successfully co-lead a patient tissue donation campaign along with two year follow-up interviews that contributed to significant research data and findings. She is currently the patient coordinator of the LMS tissue bank at Stanford. Sharon is the founder of iSPAN - International Sarcoma Patient Advocate Network, a collaboration of directors of Sarcoma Foundations. She has represented LMSdr for several years at ASCO and CTOS scientific conventions. Hundreds of LMS families have received her tireless assistance and support online with the LMS List serves, several of which she initiated and moderates herself. As Executive Director of LMSdr, she's committed to advocating and funding the most promising research for LMS.
